Course Video Introductions

I’m trying something new and ambitious this semester for my classes at SEBTS.  I am going to intro each week’s lectures with a video that I will make available at my Youtube channel.  If you are one of my students, you’ll need to check there each Monday for an introduction to the week.  Then, in class you will have a quiz that will be from the video.  There may be some weeks I can’t keep up, but we’ll give it a shot.  Be sure to let me know if the “preview of coming attractions” is helpful once the semester start.  Because some of the material might be of interest to other readers besides students, I’ll announce each week’s video post on twitter, but will not put it here.  So, if you want a reminder about the videos, join me on Twitter or subscribe to my Youtube channel.

Just for kicks, I’ll post the first video here.

This rite of Christian practice is called the Lord’s Supper, Communion, and the Eucharist, with each term describing some part of the ordinance or its purpose.

Good Place to Buy Books

Students looking for cheaper new and used textbooks should consider AbeBooks.  It’s not just for textbooks, though.  Anyone looking for good deals on books should check it out.  Not everything is available there, but it’s worth a look.

Textbooks for my fall classes

Here is a link to amazon.com, where I have compiled the textbooks I am using for the fall semester in one location. If you plan to use Amazon for your texts, you can go here and get them easily.

Webinar video

Last week I was privileged to join my friend and colleague Alvin Reid in a webinar for the North Carolina Baptist Convention.  Below is a video of the webinar entitled, “Gospel-Centered Ministry.”  I would love to hear your thoughts, comments, complaints, or questions.
