Thanks to Phil and Audrey Lee for arranging a fundraiser at Chili’s in Wake Forest today (Monday, March 5), and thanks to Chili’s for helping support Harrison’s treatment. Come to Chili’s anytime between 10 AM and 11 PM, and 10% of your bill will go to help pray for Harrison’s treatment. You must either bring a copy of the flyer below or tell them you are with Harrison.
We cannot say thank you enough to those who have donated or participated in fundraisers. We also are grateful for friends (and people we hardly know) who have arranged for fundraisers like selling bracelets, forgoing birthday gifts and asking attendees to give for Harrison, receiving donations, matching gifts, etc. We’ve been humbled by all the financial gifts. I wish we didn’t need the help. I pray one day I’ll be the one donating for someone’s care.
Along with a big “thank you” to those who have given to help us with these expenses, I also want to say thank you to those who helped with St. Baldrick’s. Our entire group of 300+ shavees was able to raise about $125,000 for childhood cancer research. Harrison’s Heroes included almost 40 shavees and raised over $11,000. While the money doesn’t go to help families pay for treatment, it goes to something even more important: finding a cure. That’s more important than paying any medical bill. Because someone gave years ago to research, my son has a fighting chance to beat this beast.
We hope to see you either at lunch or dinner at Chili’s. Harrison will be sporting a new shirt! He can’t wait for you to see it.
